Shamil is a passionate and dedicated No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, coach and competitor who is 8 years-in to his Martial Arts journey. Previously committed to Gi Jiu-Jitsu, Shamil returned from the 2019 Asian Open in Tokyo, Japan, with a bronze medal and then won gold in No-Gi at the Pan Pacific Championship in Melbourne soon after. Ever since, he has been preparing for the opportunity to compete at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship, studying the New Wave era of Submission Wrestling and sharing his zeal with those around him. Shamil aims to teach Jiu-Jitsu as safely and efficiently as possible while providing differentiated learning for each member, holding a no-man-left-behind mentality.
